What Pros Wear: First Look at Nike Alpha Huarache Elite 4 Baseball Cleats

2 min read

@dukebase gave us a lengthy-awaited glimpse at the new Nike Alpha Huarache Elite 4 cleats on Tuesday.

The still-to-be introduced Alpha Huarache Elite 4 cleat, at base.

Its the first new cleat from Nike considering that the Trout 7 dropped in February 2021, which you can see at the base of the above picture. Nike confirmed to WPW that these are the Alpha Huarache Elite 4, while they did not specify a release day. They did say, on the other hand, that it will be a “busy extend for new design releases from us in the upcoming 4-6 months.” So you can likely expect them within just that timeframe.

In a swift glance, the lower 4s are not a lot diverse from the 3s, and functionally-speaking, maybe that’s a good detail the Huarache 3’s keep on being the most popular cleat in baseball.

The defining characteristics of the 3s, the Respond midsole and 2-piece (forefoot and heel) plate have been carried around.

Possibly the most significant variances to my eye are the mesh higher with big perforations and the bulked up ankle padding.

While social media remarks are all but certain to slant negative, the reception has not been wonderful so much. @brendancoulson12 echoed similar feedback when he mentioned, “It’s essentially the similar point,” although @goldengatecollector said “They glimpse substantially cooler than the 3s…”

Tailor made cleat artists collectively groaned about the mesh, like @luciafootwearco who claimed, “Not gonna be exciting to customize with that layout or people supplies,” even though its not likely that customizers aspect into Nike Baseball’s style designs.

While Duke confirmed off the lows, the mid variation of the new Huarache 4 cleat has also leaked on Hibbett’s site:

The mids are similarly, uh, similar to the former iteration. In an update, the internal “DRAGON” toe that helps prevent rips has a pattern reminiscent of elephant print, and provides even the inventory blacks a touch of swag.

Here’s what Hibbetts’ site says about them:

  • Nike React Foam in the midsole gives smooth underfoot feel & eradicates stud force. It provides an really clean, responsive experience.
  • 2-piece plate with metallic studs presents optimum adaptability and consolation underfoot to give you that “runnable” feel when touring among the bases or roaming the outfield grass.
  • An up to date anatomical strap that wraps all-around the midfoot to meet up with your containment demands. A mesh window in the upper harkens back again to the Huarache 2K4 from the basketball entire world to help generate lighter excess weight in comparison to its baseball predecessor.
  • Internal webbing and up to date mesh give lightweight, breathable support and containment.
  • Levels of breathable mesh and strategically put overlays give you a protected suit.

We’ll update as shortly as we have much more on this new release, which we can anticipate in 4-6 months, according to Nike.
