The region’s very best high school volleyball gamers will gather Saturday at the HUB Athletics Centre in Liberty Lake for the yearly Inland Northwest Volleyball Showcase.
The 21 seniors, 24 juniors, 8 sophomores and 5 freshmen symbolizing 35 high schools have been invited to contend in the showcase by earning an all-league variety for the 2021 significant college time in Japanese Washington and North Idaho.
The 58 women will be break up into 6 teams led by superior university coaches Mark Weis (College), Heather Zorrozua (Cheney), Drew Wendle (Mt. Spokane), Karrie Delp (North Central), Shawn Wilson (Mead) and Paula Thurston (Genesis Prep).
Groups will perform matches at noon, 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. in a ideal-of-three structure. The championship match is scheduled for 4 p.m.
Before in the day, the Showcase players will host a youth clinic for ages 8-14 that will be supervised by Whitworth volleyball mentor Kati Bodecker. Following the clinic, the youth will be encouraged to view their coaches compete.
Phil Champlin, govt director at the HUB, explained they are honored to place on this celebration to celebrate the accomplishments of the women.
“We glimpse forward to escalating this function to showcase the great volleyball expertise from our region’s superior educational institutions,” he wrote in a news launch.
