The Community Healthcare Center will be conducting free sports physicals Thursday, July 21. The center, located at 200 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., will host the event from 2-5 p.m. Sports physicals will be available for all area students and youth sports league participants. Students are not required to have previous history with the Community Healthcare Center to qualify for the physicals. The availability of free physicals is aimed at helping local students be cleared and ready to go for sports for the next school year.

Students are required to have the sport physical form, as dictated by their school district, filled out and signed by their parent or guardian. Forms are available at chcwf.com under the “sports physical” link. Students with prescription glasses or contacts are required to wear them to be eligible for the physical. Community Healthcare center also requires all guests for the event to wear face masks.
David Preston, Director of Marketing and Outreach, said the free sports physical days help parents get ready for activities in the summer and upcoming school year.
“This is a perfect opportunity for parents and guardians to get their child’s sports physical completed prior to the start of summer sports practices and pre-marching band practices. Plus, those participating in youth sports leagues can get their sports physical free at this event as well,” Preston said.
